SHAH ALAM – Avisena Healthcare’s participation as the Official Healthcare Partner of Twincity Marathon 2026 reflects the healthcare institution’s continued commitment to supporting holistic community wellbeing, encompassing physical health, cardiovascular health and balanced lifestyles across all age groups.
Twincity Marathon 2026, held on 18 January 2026 at Dataran Putrajaya, brought together approximately 21,000 participants from diverse backgrounds, including youths, families and individuals who view the event as part of their personal journey towards a healthier way of life.

The inclusive, community-oriented atmosphere of the event provided a meaningful platform to deliver health messages in a more accessible and engaging manner.
Avisena Healthcare’s involvement in Twincity Marathon 2026 also reflects the continuity of its commitment, having supported the event since Twincity Marathon 2024, as part of its ongoing efforts to engage with the community through community-based initiatives.

According to Group Chief Executive Officer of Avisena Healthcare, Puan Elina Nadia Omar, today’s approach to health must be viewed more holistically and sustainably, rather than focusing solely on treatment when health issues arise.
“Many people only begin to pay attention to their health when they experience symptoms or illness. True wellbeing, however, encompasses heart health, physical fitness, stress management and balanced daily lifestyles. These aspects are often overlooked, particularly among younger individuals,” she said.

Puan Elina noted that the increasing incidence of cardiovascular-related conditions among youths is a concerning trend that warrants serious attention from all stakeholders.
“Heart health is not an issue affecting only the elderly. When inactive lifestyles become the norm, the effects begin to surface at a much younger age.
This not only impacts physical health, but also affects energy levels, mental wellbeing and overall quality of life,” she explained.
She added that community sporting events such as Twincity Marathon 2026 play an important role in encouraging individuals to take early steps towards better personal health.
“Events like this allow the community to view health as something that can be built progressively.
Beginning with being more active, understanding the body’s needs and maintaining balance in daily life forms the foundation of long-term wellbeing,” Puan Elina added.

As the Official Healthcare Partner, Avisena Healthcare’s involvement in Twincity Marathon 2026 reflects its role beyond clinical services, with a strong focus on community-based health support and efforts to raise awareness on the importance of holistic wellbeing.
As part of its broader commitment to fostering an inclusive and health-driven community, Avisena Healthcare also allocated 10 participation slots for special needs children (OKU) from Persatuan Pelari Anak Luar Biasa. The initiative reflects the organisation’s belief that everyone should have equal opportunities to participate in community sporting activities while encouraging active, confident and healthier lifestyles.

This engagement aligns with Avisena Healthcare’s long-term aspirations to continue collaborating with the community in promoting healthy lifestyles, disease prevention and improved quality of life, in line with efforts to build a healthier and more resilient society towards 2026 and beyond.
