Avisena Specialist Hospital 2 Marks New Chapter in Integrated Specialist Care

SHAH ALAM – Avisena Women’s & Children’s Specialist Hospital (AWCSH) has officially been rebranded as Avisena Specialist Hospital 2 (ASH2), marking a significant milestone in Avisena Healthcare’s long-term strategy to strengthen Shah Alam as its flagship healthcare hub for integrated specialist healthcare services.

Since commencing operations in May 2019 as a dedicated women’s and children’s hospital, the facility has established a strong reputation for delivering specialised, compassionate and patient-centred care.

The rebranding reflects its evolution into a multi-disciplinary hospital offering a broader range of specialist services for patients of all ages while continuing its commitment to women’s and children’s healthcare.

As part of its transformation, ASH2 has introduced eight new specialist services, namely ear, nose and throat (ENT), orthopaedics, internal medicine, general surgery, plastic surgery, urology, ophthalmology and dermatology. The hospital will also be strengthened by the addition of 12 new specialists, enhancing its ability to provide integrated and coordinated care.

Group Chief Executive Officer of Avisena Healthcare, Elina Nadia Omar, said the rebranding represents an important step in strengthening the group’s healthcare ecosystem and improving access to specialist care.

“As a multi-disciplinary hospital, we are expanding our capabilities to provide a wider range of treatments while continuing to remain focused on women and children. This enables us to serve more patients across different age groups while maintaining our core strengths,” she said.

With both Avisena Specialist Hospital (ASH) and Avisena Specialist Hospital 2 (ASH 2) located in Seksyen 14, Shah Alam, Avisena Healthcare is further reinforcing Shah Alam as its flagship healthcare hub, serving communities across Shah Alam and Klang through a comprehensive and integrated healthcare ecosystem.

In line with its continued development, ASH2 will introduce dedicated oncology services this year, including the establishment of a Women’s Cancer Centre, further enhancing its comprehensive range of specialist services and reinforcing its commitment to delivering holistic, patient-centred cancer care for women at every stage of their healthcare journey.

“The Women’s Cancer Centre will strengthen Avisena Healthcare’s multidisciplinary women’s health ecosystem by providing seamless access to cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and supportive care.
