TrueCare2U and KWAP Forge Strategic Partnership to Expand Home Healthcare Access for Pensioners

CYBERJAYA: TrueCare2U, a subsidiary of Avisena Healthcare, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Retirement Fund (Incorporated) [KWAP] in a ceremony held in Cyberjaya.

This strategic collaboration marks a new milestone in providing home healthcare services to government pensioners across Malaysia.

The ceremony was attended by Muhamad Hafiz Abas, Acting Head of Pension Services at KWAP, and Elina Nadia Omar, Group Chief Executive Officer of Avisena Healthcare, representing TrueCare2U.

Commenting on the partnership, Elina emphasised TrueCare2U’s commitment to serving as a strategic partner to KWAP in expanding access to home healthcare services for the pensioner community.

She also explained that TrueCare2U’s services are now featured in the MyPesara application, a platform used by pensioners to access information and facilities related to their retirement benefits.

This initiative enables pensioners to conveniently obtain information on services such as doctor home visits, home nursing care, and physiotherapy in a more organised, accessible, and secure manner.

“This integration allows government pensioners to access a wide range of professional medical services more efficiently, while ensuring continuous health monitoring within the comfort of their homes.

The initiative not only simplifies daily healthcare arrangements for pensioners, but also promotes a more inclusive standard of care for the elderly community in Malaysia,” she said.

Elina further noted that this bilateral initiative represents a proactive step in addressing Malaysia’s changing demographic landscape.

“According to the Minister of Finance II, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Malaysia is expected to become an ageing nation by 2048, when the proportion of the population aged 65 and above is projected to reach approximately 14 per cent of the total population.

As healthcare needs continue to rise, home healthcare services are becoming increasingly important to ensure pensioners receive ongoing care without placing additional pressure on hospitals and clinics,” she added.

As part of efforts to enhance the healthcare experience for the pensioner community, the collaboration will also offer special privileges for pensioners who make bookings through the TrueCare2U application.

Beyond the provision of home healthcare services, both parties will also organise health awareness programmes and other initiatives to ensure pensioners receive better access to information and healthcare services in a more structured manner.

This collaboration reflects the continued commitment of TrueCare2U and KWAP to ensure that pensioners receive quality medical support without having to leave the comfort of their homes.
